Correct me

:salam:

I was not religious…I never was taught how to pray and never even went to Jumaah prayers…I considered myself a Sufi, composed poetry and did lots of Haram things…

As a Sufi I considered everyone OK…I didn’t care about who followed what, considered the Wahabbis as enemies of the world and never had a desire to learn even the basics of my deen…I didn’t care who Shia were or Ahmadis…

My Shia friends, being kids, used to abuse the Sahaba in front of me, and I would be like, yeah, whatever…

9/11 happened and I was drawn to Islam…Then I started reading up on my faith and started to learn about Islam…

It was then that I realized that Islam is not about just following what has been taught to us or molding Islam to suit our needs…I found out that it is ME who has to mold himself to fit into Islam…As more and more knowledge kept coming to me, I kept molding myself, changing my way of thinking…

I also realized, that you can fall in love with this faith, Islam…In its true, untainted form, Islam is something to love and cherish…And after reading up on the Aqaaids of many other sects, I realized how they were putting Islam through a change, to mold Islam, to distort my beloved faith to suit their needs…

And that too, not just because it suited them, but because the Kuffar wanted them to change it…Since the Kuffar didn’t like the Islam in its pure form, they wanted the Muslims to change my beloved religion…

Then I read up, that people would rather die than change even a single, basic concept of Islam, for an Islam changed is not Islam…

The Kuffar were planting ideas like, Jihad is terrorism, Homosexuality is OK, premarital relations are OK, it’s alright to look the other way if someone is twisting Islam’s teachings in the name of tolerance…

I read and found out that the only thing that unites a Muslim to Islam is to follow its teachings, without a molecule addition from any outside source…The clean, untainted Islam that gives strength, fearlessness, confidence, conviction and most importantly, peace of mind when followed…

The more tainted someone’s beliefs, the more at unrest and unhappy he would be…

This all came after reading and sitting down wit various people who had knowledge…
