Corporal Punishment

Where do you stand on Corporal Punishment?

Do you think state should draw a line on what is accepted?

Corporal Punishment is and has been a common practice at home and schools. Many time teachers and/or parents use it. Where does it crosses the line? Should there be a line drawn when it comes to this practice? Does it work or can such measures be avoided to solve a problem?

Re: Corporal Punishment

Beating a child is like a greatest sin.How can a grown up person can even think of beating a masoom child.corporal punishment should be banned and made a criminal offence.

Re: Corporal Punishment

I dont agree at all with corporal punishment...actually, theres been alot of talk in the US lately about making it illegal to hit a child.

Re: Corporal Punishment

I completely agree with the law in the UK - use of force (ie smacking) is permitted, so long as it is light enough to leave no mark on the child.

Hitting a child hard enough to bruise them is without doubt abuse.
