why do so many posts misteriously dissappear in the corner room? and i’m not talk about the ones where people think they are being funny and make stupid remarks. I have had posts deleted in which i’m not really sure what i said that was in need of being deleted. I wish that if they are going to be removed, at least there would be a reason given, so that i know what i said that was inappropriate…

I got one of my posts deleted coz I was being sarcastic to someone..I think corner room's mod is very strict about the rules of that section and I guess that's the way he should be !!

i still think if they are going to delete it, they should at least let you know why…what’s the point of corner room, if as soon as something gets a little heated-ZAP its gone!

I think RKH is quite old for the job ........Mods for the Corner room should be chosen from a group of ppl who havent passed there mannopausal age whether being male or female.
RKH sorry being a bit judgmental....but to my knowledge I dont think u know what the threads mean or the replies so u keep on deleting posts on random ...just to show ppl that u are alive and kicking.

Knowing quite well, how many posts are removed due to various reasons, I think it will be unfair for us to expect the mods to send members a PM every time a post is removed.
In any case, 99% people know fairly well why their post is removed. For the remaining 1%, they should feel free to PM the mod. The mods can and do reconsider and bring back any posts removed in error. Plus in some cases, it may be an Admin who had removed some replies. If you PM the mod, he or she will be able to get back to you with a reply fairly quickly.
On the broader issue of Corner Room, that section is specifically created for a reason, described in its forum description. That section is not your typical "Cafe" or "General" type place where anything goes in the form of general chit chat. Unless your reply contributes to the discussion, chances are it may be removed to avoid ruining serious discussions. Smart comments are ok, as long as they adhere to the culture of the forum.
but thats what i am saying. i understand there is unnecessary silliness that ensues. I can only think of one instance where my posts were deleted, that i didn't think it was a big deal, but maybe mod's didn't like it. SEVERAL other times my posts have been deleted, and i have no idea why-i really don't know what it is that i said.
did you email the mod asking for the reason?

As sometime we see edited post with a warning like
"lets repost them using thumbs"
"consider ur self warned" etc etc if mod edit the post and leave the one or two words message that ll solve the problem.User ll happy they got a reason and mod ll not have to work too much for editing every post.

Majority of the posts are being removed from the section because they are nothing more than satirical one liners. They have no contribution to the topic itself and they actually invite more posts which feed off from initial wise cracks. This section has somewhat turned into a cafe room with a dash of joke room. Some of it is mainly due to mod's own preoccupation with other things but now there's a concerted effort to purge the comedy and humor from this section which is meant to maintain an overall serious tone. If anyone's post was removed, it was removed because it deviated from above mentioned guidelines.
The posts are removed to discourage other members from getting their one-liner puns. If they are not removed from the get-go, it just invites more members to build up on the such posts and before we know it, we have a thread which has nothing but posts which resemble a party scene. Removing posts is more work for me and I personally don't like to baby-sit forums and members. But sometimes it comes to that and I take pains in doing what I don't like to do.
PKC, just because someone is older than you in mind and body, doesn;t necessarily make them "mannopausal."
p.s. "mannopausal" is exclusively used for women, not men. Maybe it’s something you want to ask about in Corner room (that’s what its really there for).
