There is no God but Allah
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah
Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah
Subhanallah, glory be to Allah
Allahuakbar, Allah is great
All praises belong to Allah
Praises for our successes
Are not rightfully ours
Instead, we should always be aware
That they all belong to Allah

A happy heart that enlightens the soul
Is a sign of a great bestowal from Allah
Remember Allah, and be grateful to him
And say ‘Alhamdulillah’ [praise be to Allah]

Look at the expanse of the universe
The bright sky that shelters the earth
The heart will feel His greatness
And say ‘Allahuakbar’ [Allah is great]

When you’re feeling down and blue
Caused by the ups and downs in life
Remember, be grateful to Allah
And say ‘Innalillah’ [to Allah we belong]
There is a mystic thread of life
So dearly wreath’d with mine alone,
That Destiny’s relentless knife
At once must sever both, or none.
