I’m planning on throwing a big haleem party over the weekend and plan to use shan masala as the main ingredeint. I’ve never made haleem before so any suggestions based on your experience would be helpful. I’ve heard good cooks say that they don’t strictly follow shan’s recepie, rather they do additional things on their own that makes thier dishes taste so good.
So any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
So far i've gotten one suggestion which is to add rice. Ok i'll try that, but i hope it doesn't make it too thick.
I've seen shan haleem masala boxes come in bigger sizes than the rest of their spice collection. I think they come with daal if i'm not mistaking. Should i blend the daal in a chopper before I put it in so the haleem has smooth texture?
sky, I have never made haleem from the Shan packet but I do have the box for it. Maybe I will make it this weekend and we both can share here on gupshup how our experience went?
