Re: Cooking at its best ..

recipes and cravings, mainly. and when you get down to business, business is always better done with a spotless and organised kitchen.

Re: Cooking at its best ..

Oh yeah and a very clean kitchen and clean counter tops also get me in the cooking mood.I actually vacuum and/or mop before I start cooking (I do it after too),which seems weird as it is gonna get messy anyway after the whole cooking business…:frowning:

Re: Cooking at its best ..

If all the dishes are clean and in order.
Garbage thrown out (including the compost bin)
My masalas are ready (home-made)
Guests are on their way
Everyone out of my way :hehe:

Re: Cooking at its best ..

As soon as i am hungry..

clean kitchen and no one around to boss me about . do this and do that ..

Confidence

Re: Cooking at its best ..

time, energy, craving, and a clean sink!!!

sometimes I load the dishwasher before cooking just so I dont have to see bartan around me even if they dont need to be washed

Re: Cooking at its best ..

exactly. i’m currently working out of a tiiiny apartment kitchen, and the slightest mess takes away a lot of vital counterspace in addition to making the place look like a pig’s digs. that’s a deal-breaker for me. obviously, after you’re done cooking, the place will be a mess again but my headspace is altogether too dependent on the condition of my workspace for me to leave the pre cooking mess be. i won’t start until the bartan are all put away and the shelf is clean and the counters are shiny and disinfected.

Majboori :frowning:

Re: Cooking at its best ..

I do that too .. if I am in a hurry, I put the onion masala for frying and meanwhile get on the task of clearing the sink and counters , somehow I just cant see that freaking sink full of dishes , its so demotivating :frowning:
