Re: cooking and marriage
FINANCIAL STABILITY=PROVIDING NECESSETIES OF LIFE=ABILITY
Hi NightVision,
I think what Sadzzz is trying to say is that a wife is a partner. And as a partner....she connects with you on various levels (mental, emotional, physical, psychological). Also, as a partner she provides encouragement and emotional support in shared goals for the future.
A wife's role is not confined to being just a cook. There are other** more important aspects** that form the backbone of a marriage (mutual communication, understanding, support, and trust). If a wife can't provide you all these important qualities......then she can be the BEST COOK **in the world.....but the marriage will **FAIL.
A woman can eventually learn how to cook after marriage. Our desi cooking is pretty easy.....you always use the same foundation of spices for practically every dish. A woman can be a GOOD wife AND learn the art of cooking after marriage as well.
Also, in these days and times, both husband and wife might work to pay the bills. And in such a situation it's unreasonable for a guy to say "well, i pay the bills.....so you better cook me a gourmet meal." ** The roles in a marriage are not black and white. And once in a while a husband might have to do the cooking. And it can be **FUN to cook a meal together as a couple.
What Sadzzz is saying is that "cooking skills" are not and should not be sole criteria that one looks for in a wife. :)
