I got me two packs of Oat and Raisin Cookies and I just cant keep my hands off the cookies they are going down so fast:@:
These are the large chewy ones , you know the ones you get at Subway …
so anyone knows how to make them ? I tried a recipe sometime ago but they became hard and crispy .. these ones are chewy and soft and strechy
You tried once they did not come out right , then adjust the recipe and try again. May be add more of the fluids like water/butter/oil/milk or bake them at lower temperature or for shorter time.
Sometime best of the best bakers and chefs do not get their recipe right the first time they try , but they get the clue as to what to adjust next time.
I think you left them too long time in the Oven. When I make cookies, I usually take them out just before they "set" and leave them on the counter until they cool down. Hence the cookies are chewy :)
I havent tried the one you are talking about, but here is a recipe for oatmeal cookies that I love. The changes I make are to use all butter, and an extra 1/2 tsp each of cinnamon and vanilla, and also add chocolate chips. I bake for 9 mins, cool 2 mins on the tray before transferring to the rack to cool. Store in an airtight container with a slice of apple, they stay soo soft and chewy. They taste even better the next day so I always make them a day in advance and let them sit overnight..soo good!!
