Re: convincing logic

Re: convincing logic
Dush: I would answer in neither. One strong argument or a string of arguments does not make me pro or against something. My being pro or against something is based on my own understanding of that thing. Understanding takes education, time, observation, environment, etc., to develop. A strong argument might just only be an appropriate selection of words delivered in an emphatic way.
Re: convincing logic
witchdr, mmaybe, that strong argument can enable the next person to re think his or her mental approach to things and other people.
and in that case, perhaps, the string of accurate agruments or one solid argument are both forceful. their purpose is delivered when they force put-through a person who has been thinking WRONG all along.
it is absolutely reliant on the honesty of self acceptance with ones' mistakes, that when realization takes place, to what effect does the person act.
i like the factors you listed for understanding to take place. thanks for sharing your perspective.
best,
Dushwari
