Convicted for wictchcraft

Re: Convicted for wictchcraft

I have trouble believing that it an make a fertile man impotent. Of course, anything is possible. But what was the proof she did magic and that her magic actually caused him to be impotent? How do we know he didn't get it some other way? Until that can be proven, does the state have a right to just go about executing people?

No one would argue that black magic is wrong and should not be dabbled in, but where in the religion does it say the state has a right to execute you for it? And if so, where do people like Harry Potter readers stand? I wonder if the series is even available in Saudi.

From what I was taught there are 3 executable crimes in Islam, and there is intense evidence needed to prove that the crimes were done: Murder, Treason, and Adultery (not fornication).

Read below and please let me know what proof is there in Islam that these practices are part of Islam?:

religious police who detained her and are alleged to have mistreated her.

her conviction was on the basis of the written statements of witnesses who said that she had bewitched them.

The confession which the defendant was forced to fingerprint was not even read out to her

Also Ms Falih and her representatives were not allowed to attend most of the hearings.
When an appeal court decided she should not be executed, the law courts imposed the death sentence again, arguing that it would be in the public interest.
