I personally know people who have converted and yes I do find that their knowledge about Islam and the way they practice Islam is so much better

Do converts to islam know more about the religion than ordinary muslims because they learn the religion thoroughly before converting what do you guys think about it?

Yes, usually.. and they don’t tend to come with much cultural baggage..
