how can i convert youtube files to mp3 i guess?? and save them on my computer to play in a playlist

No you don't sound dumb. There are lot of online converters available where you just put the URL of the YouTube video and tell what format you want the output in. It will take few mins and will give you the downloadable mp3 link

There are sites that convert Yt to mp3 files fo frizzeyyyy!

flv2mp3 is the easiest.
