Anyone know how to convert
high school… university grades to
what they would be equivalent to in Pak.
Go to federal board Islamabad and ask them to issue you an equalence (sp) certificate

Actually its not the federal board who does it. Its the inter board conversion committe... I think their office is located in G6 Islamabad. I got my olevel grades converted and then alevel grades converted from them.
Spock yara, can you provide any contact of the centre? Like maybe a phone number. And do you have to go them personally or can this be done by mail. I'm saying because I'm abroad. And there's probably a fee for that, do you know how much?

pheeka yar, give me a few days... I need to ask my father, as he was the one who got that done. I am sure they do it for Pakistanis abroad too, with a fee though... Ill get back to you with their ph. number, or possibly their fax number.

Subject: EQUIVALENCE AND CONVERSION FORMULA FOR FOREIGN GRADES/MARKS INTO PAK EQUIVALENT MARK.
This IBCC in its 82nd meeting under items No. 24 held on 21-22 August, 1998 approved the following conversion formula in respect of foreign qualifications:-
All the Certificates and the grades awarded by the accredited Examination Boards/ Authority/ Syndicate and institution recognized by the Education Authority of the country of origin will be considered for equivalence and conversion of marks / grades and will be subjected to the treatment as per approved formula reproduced below: -
i). The certificates and their marks/ grades from accredited recognized examination Boards will be equated with Pak equivalent marks as per approved formula.
ii). The certificates / transcripts issued by foreign institution /schools/ colleges will be subjected to 20% deduction to maintain uniformity and range of scores with Pakistani system. As per conversion formula the marks/grades will be first equated with Pak equivalent marks as given in the related context (10%) and then 10% marks will be deducted form the total making it to 20%.
iii). This conversion formula will be enforced and implemented from the year 1998-99 and onward. The equivalence certificate issued by the IBCC before August, 1998 to the candidates or applicants for admission in the Medical/ Engineering Colleges and Universities will be revised as per approved formula for session in question.
iv). The actual marks from the recognized examination authority/syndicate/board will not be considered as such but will be equated to the Pakistani equivalent marks as per approved formula.
