Of course the Prophet never did anything against the wishes of Allah.

The BIG - very BIG - difference is that Allah has taken the preservation of the Quran on Himself. He did not do so for the hadith - hence basing something as extreme as taking the life of another individual based on hadith seems excessive to me - especially since the only other two cases in which the taking of a life is permitted are BOTH mentioned in the Quran.

Sir you can’t understand Quran without the help of SUNNAH Sunnah is the detail of Quran and HAZRAT MUHAMMAD SAW had ordered killing of murtids in his time and this law will remain till the day of Judgement
