Re: Conversion to Islam : NBA players, rappers, musicians
How much impact does religion conversion makes on person’s life ?
In some cases yes it does. but in many cases any major change does not take place.
Does conversion to Islam makes you a good human being ?
Rarely yes. If a person is already a good human being before any conversion of faith then new religion does not change his personality much.
Example :
**Muhammad Yosef ( Prominent Pakistani Cricketer ) **
Was he a bad guy before conversion to Islam ?
No Not at all ! He was key batsman in Pakistan cricket team. He was loved and appreciated for his performance. He was decent and nice fellow. We never heard anything indecent immoral about him.
**Justice (r) Rana Bhagwan Das ( Former Chief Justice, Pakistan Supreme Court )
**
A deeply revered Justice of Pakistan Supreme court. People see him with utmost respect because of his unshakable character, honesty and judicial history.
As you might have guessed, He is not a muslim. Yet he was consulted by Federal Shariate court in cases related to Islamic Laws and cases related to sharia. He was considered authority in these cases because his masters degree was in Islamic Law / jurisdiction.
Now both above mentioned personalities are very good individuals. Religion did not make them bad at all. Similarly, all the other people mentioned by me in earlier post were already good people by nature. No doubt they must have converted to Islam on their free will but changing religion is no fixed parameter for character change
