It is really interesting that in Muslim majority area under the terror fir some missionaries make inroads…
What can be the status of a Muslim converting to some other religion?
Does he refute the last Prophet hood declared in Islam?
Srinagar, April 5: Amid booming guns and endless violence, Kashmir is witnessing a discreet spurt in conversion — from Islam to Christianity. Christian groups are putting the number of neo-converts at over 10,000 and a Sunday Express investigation confirms that conversions have been taking place regularly across the Valley.
At least a dozen Christian missions and churches based in the US, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland have sent evengelists to the Valley and are pumping in money through intermediaries based in New Delhi.
A question for you anand. Do you believe that muslims get upset when they hear someone has converted to another belief? And do you believe it is a muslims duty to keep someone from converting, and that it will affect muslims in some sort of way? An honest answer would be appreciated. Thank you.

Munni,
I think probobly their families would be upset. Same as in a Christian family.
Myself though, I am of the opinion that a person should chose their own religion. One doesn't necessarily need to follow the creed of their parents, though most do.
Myself, am happy for the person who finds faith and purpose in life and God, whatever creed they follow.
