Conversation

Re: Conversation

I’ll be honest i have your problem in reverse…

I’m the FOB, a word i’ve recently learned the meaning of :cb: and although i speak excellent english and am not burdened with a typical desi accent my voice is more like a scottish person :hehe: my wife speaks only english.

In everday talking i often use english and pothwari my home language is so romantic… but it’s hillarious becuase i spend much time having to teach her the meanings of words for wich in english one needs a book per word of Potwari.

Urdu i can speak well but not as easily as Potwari and so i’m stuck a little bit.
However my Wife is very understanding and so am i in fact i think this aspect has enhanced our feelings for one another becuase we both need each other even more

I pray sister your life is a long and happy one and Insha Allah your soon to be Husband will be a greatly tolerant and understanding man… urdu is such a beautifull language and i recomend you watcha few classical romantic Urdu films just to get a grip of the depth of the language and meanings.

It’s not a hard process Masha-Allah you will learn very soon and then you’ll be more the wise and happier.

I don't think you should be embarrassed to speak Urdu infront of him.. if anything he'll appreciate you for trying. When I had my nikah with my hubby I hardly spoke any Urdu but we decided that we will speak in whatever is comfortable for us.. well I was so comfortable with him that I spoke in Urdu and today my urdu is pretty close to being average good.. I don't think this is a big issue at all just try to get comfortable slowly.

girlie..ur speaking in urdu in the way u do is probably unique to him and maybe he thinks its cute and it makes u stand out to him so pleez gain some confidence in urself n stop whining..underconfident girls r a total turn off!
