You dont have to be an "ahle zaban" to support the cause of urdu....and to show the great love punjabis have for urdu language contrary to what MQM says...

by the way baba-i-urdu maulvi abdul haq was also punjabi & yes nasir kazmi was definitly punjabi ( E.Punjab)
by the way were habib jalib and Josh Malehabadi also punjabis...?
Where r the contributions of UP guys ( excepting Jamiluddin Aali and Jigar muradabadi....)
In non-muslim punjabi Bedi,Prem chand,amrita pretam(did she write urdu or hindi)....

Jak, don’t get so uptight man, the point of discussion here is to remind ourselves about the great Urdu writers from Punjab. Most of us living in foreign lands tend to forget our own literary figures, it is just a reminder. In all good taste.

If you fancy more literary discussion about any particular aspect of Urdu literature, don’t be afraid to cortex. I will personally walk you home, until the cows come back or the old lady sings.
