Contradiction

first impression is always the last impression and dont judge a book by its cover contradict each other
do you agree?

Re: Contradiction

Good point but it all depends on how you read the first "saying".

Re: Contradiction

example?

Re: Contradiction

eg: YOU STINK!

Now one can read that as you smell literally or you stink as in you suck (mean way),

Comprende?

Re: Contradiction

guys oxymoron...its called an OXYMORON!!!Kapeesh!!!

Re: Contradiction

Sure.

Re: Contradiction

ok so its an oxymoron but then whats the secret

Re: Contradiction

err no its not called an oxymoron. thats something different.

these are just quotes that do contradict each other.

like: "absence makes the heart grow fonder" contradicts "out of sight, out of mind"

an oxymoron on the other hand is a word that can be broken up into two words that are opposites of each other like "pretty ugly" "accurate estimate" and "dim-wit" "criminal justice"

Re: Contradiction

well that depends whether your first impression is based on the cover alone or not.

Re: Contradiction

do you agree?

first impression of the book may be the first paragragh/ chapter - not necessarily the cover

Re: Contradiction

those two statements have nothing to do with each other..

Re: Contradiction

Its like

Practice makes the man (human) perfect.

But we also hearr

No one is perfect.

Well if no one is perfect then how can practice make the man perfect ?

Usage of perverb depends where u are actually using it.
