Ladies i just want to get ideas of natural contraception other than condoms and withdraw, i dont want to use anything with hormones since everyone has scared me so much how it have side effects and blah blah blah so please any suggestions, i dont know if this topic has been discussed before but oh well :o)

make an appointment to see your doctor/ nurse and discuss the non hormonal options with them, they will be able to advise you much better on any risks :)

You can get copper IUDs - there's no hormones and they're usually 98% effective. Your doctor can give you more info on side effects but the few people I know that have used them loved it.

i had an appointment for the copper IUD but when i read the reviews it can be dangerous, many people had to take it out with surgeries and other horror stories though those cases are very rare but still i didnt wanted to take any chance..i think condoms are the best options..

but you know accidents happen so i just dont wanna take any chances but oh well.. how many of you here have used pills and liked it coz thats teh easiest way.

whats wrong with condoms or withdrawal

I wouldn't worry about not being able to conceive b/c these things are always in Allah swt's hands.....if you'r emeant to be a parent u wlil become one..I knwo someone who was taking the pill after her first child and one day she forgot to take it, she got pregnant! I know others who never used pills or anything hormonal and they're still having issues conceiving...

Re the pill thought u were worried about hormones tho, Bathsheba.. As with nearly everything in life there is a tiny risk.. if u don't want pills or the copper IUD or anything else that effects ur body in some way ur not left with much choice apart from condoms or the withdrawal method.. oh, and some ppl can also be allergic to condoms lol..

I was on the pill (Microgynon 30) from the age of 16-ish cos I had nightmare periods.. made the world of difference and no side effects at all for me :)
