the midwife has given me a list of stuff, and honestly most of it i wouldnt choose. however alot of people say they used the yasmin pill, apparently helps them lose weight after, and clear skin…and is a contraception..anyone use this and any drawbacks of usng it?
also what did you use, and how successful was it, any other side effects/benefits from using it, mine is to help me lose weight, i know some make you gain it, as well as clear my skin…so whats the best bet?
Just make sure you research each and every option thoroughly before going for it.
Oh and if you’re breastfeeding, your pill options are very limited as the hormones may pass on to the baby through your milk. I don’t remember the name of the pill my OB/GYN gave me, I took it only for 15 days and found it a big hassle to remember to take it the exact time each day, so I just opted for the IUCD… no such hassles there.
hey , i have a question , i wanted to have an IUCD , but was told , that its contraimplant and not contraceptive ... meaning it doesnt allow the fetus to attach to the uterine wall , and hence heavy mensturation and all while contaceptive is like to stop the fertilization . plz help me out if anybody around here knows about it, cuz IUCD is better option and convenient too ...
I had the implant done...its been about 6 months i've had it now and thank god no side effects...plus they say its 99% effective which attracted me towards it. Also, read a few reviews online and done abit of search on it.
It's working for me....but everyone is different it may not suit some body's. But I advise don't go for the contraception injection straight away cuz if you occur a side effect from that its very likely to be handled, but if you go for the implant like me and u occur a reaction/side effect it can be taken out anytime straight away and your system should restore immediately.
I believe in natural contraception....whatever other form of contraception you use....its all the same sort of thing in all of them....they are just different forms of the same thing. Only difference is some are combined (oestrogen and progesterone)....and others are prog. only. Im scared of the side effects so wouldnt use any sort of pill/injection/patch/implant etc....
i was on Yasmin before we started ttc, and i didn't have any major side effects AH. it does affect your libido though, but if you can put in a little bit of effort there, you can get past that. but no, i didn't gain or lose any weight, and yes, my skin was spectacular. i've never had problem skin to begin with AH but yasmin really made it look fantastic.
once i came off Yasmin though, it took about 11 months for my cycles to regulate. its most likely because i had irregular cycles to begin with and my body sort of went back to that before smoothing out, but it could be any number of other things too, so that's just something to note.
with more than 7 months of IUD implantation not having regular periods, only spotting for few days, so feeling like gaining weight... whenever i plan to take an appointment, feel i am getting normal but again....too lazy...my ob/gyn said it will be stable after 6 months but....what about those birth control patches? any one having experience of them?
