i think everyone set long term goals irrespective of realistic or unrealistic.
I have some general idea of where i would like to be, but I dont like planning as such. Planning leads to lakeer kai fakeer type attitudes and undermines the flexibility one needs in life. If you lose flexibility, you lose resilience in the face of change.
You really are just better of worrying about your today rather then the unseen tomorrow.
I am always amazed by how unpredictable life can be. So often, I have found myself in situations or places which i would never have predicted in a million years. Such is life. I suppose I have just given up on planning. Just seems futile really.

Long term planning doesnt mean you have to follow some hard and fast rules or to follow others strictly. You can plan considering resources you have.
As you said you have some general ideas, so your life is inline with those ideas?

Well, you plan for certain unforseen things. Savings accounts etc, college degree's, things of that nature.
Moving along more or less. But like I said, im not married to any particular outcome. Will let you know once I get there. :)
