contact lenses

It’d be awesome if you guys can share your reviews on the MOST comfortable and moisturizing contact lenses in your experience.

ive been using acuvue for a few years now, but im not very satisfied. i dont wear them very often, only when steppin out for parties, shaadis n blah. i will however be wearing them more regularly now in the following months and im currently down to my last pair, so before i place an order, i was wondering if anyone has anything nice to share.

how about the acuvue oasys ones? my eyes are extremely dry.. after a few hours the regular acuvue would always act up on me and ive been livin off of visine mostly…

and yeah, im lookin for the bi-weekly/ monthly ones. definitely not the day/night or daily ones.

any optometrists here..?
please help … :frowning:

Re: contact lenses

oof.. i wrote a really long reply about dry eyes and contact lenses but i accidentally closed the window and lost it. in a quick summary, google about dry eyes and NOT wearing high water content soft lenses, google 'silicon hydrogel lenses' and google 'rigid permeable gas lenses'.
hopefully you will find all the info you need in there, otherwise i can type up my response again!

Re: contact lenses

I wear Copper Vision Aspheric monthly disposeabl contact lenses and they're acctually pretty good. However, by the end of the month they seem to get harder and stingy and my eyes get drier. Dry eyes are something thats very normal if u wear conact lenses; its quite unavoidable so u have to use eye drops now and then.
Acuve didnt suit me either. I got trial pairs and these ones suited me better. This is something only ur optometrist can really help u with..ask him to give u trial pairs for other competent brands and wear them and see how u feel in them. He/she should have given u a trial paper to start off with so that u can choose between the most comfertable ones.
Make sure u dont go for Acuve again or reduce it to two-weekly ones or monthly since they are the most comfertable compared to extended wear (long lasting) contact lenses which is what i think u have. Daily conatcts are the most comfertable but also the most expensive and u never noe everyones different and some ppl suit monthly better than 2-weeklys or vice-versa. :)
P.S: I used FreshLook Colorblends for a while and urgh never again. This brand tottaly sucks. Its just cheap. But dont noe abt u it might be good for u.

Re: contact lenses

Thank you so much for opening this thread. My situation is kinda similar to yours. I have been using Acuvue 2 for a while now and I have come to the conclusion I don't like em. My eyes also get extremly dry and one of them starts to hurt. I am going to see my optometrist soon and will ask for a different brand this time.
