constant thoughts of death

I am not sick or any thing. Completely healthy person with beautiful family..

Iam in constant fear of death. Ofcourse everyone will die but I spend alot of time thinking of it. Thinking how my kids will react or how it will impact their lives. Its in mind all the time. I want to live normal life, not thinking of death all the time.

I often have dreams of death too.
Is this normal or something wrong with me mentally. Do you guys have this issue and how to deal with it.

IMO you think you are happy but you are not. If you are happy and have a full life, you won’t think of death.
Just for peace of mind, secure your dependents future life. Make sure they are taken care of. Set up a target financially that you think will be enough for their future without you. Once you have that, death won’t worry or surprise you.

Its completely normal. Once death came into your focus its natural to think about children.
My sister does it… usually says “I want God to give me enough time to raise my kids”
My brother once got emotional thinking “what would my kids do if I am around any more”

pretty natural stuff. Remember who take care of you would take care of them :slight_smile:

It is abnormal and unhealthy to ‘constantly’ think about death.

I think if you tell yourself death is inevitable and inescapable but does not have certain time that you can ever find out,… and engage yourself in daily activities like no tomorrow in positive way, then it will serve benefit not only to yourself but anyone around you.

you should use your though positively and try to better yourself spiritually. do your own inventory of good and bad acts. try to better good deeds and try to ask Allah for forgiveness…this will help you in the long term as well.

You’re suffering from depression I think. You should keep your mind busy & not allow yourself to sit idle, doing nothing. keep busy in constructive hobbies. Surround yourself with beautiful things, happy, positive people. Exercise, move around, stay active, go outdoors. Stop taking caffeine or cut down on quantity. Eat fresh fruits.

There’s nothing wrong in thinking about death once in a while but dreading over it and occupying your mind with such thoughts all the times is not normal. A healthy life style will also bring positive thoughts.
