Conspiracy Theories

My father and a couple of other people from his generation (non-Muslims) who I have spoken to, believe the cartoon controversy has been masterminded by the CIA to further vilify the image of Muslims in the world, and to further polarise the east from the west. Furthermore, it is an attempt to bring the traditionally peaceful Nordic countries such as Denmark, Norway and Sweden into the American camp in the war against terror, and set them up against Muslims. Through this whole saga they will be able to say, “see! how bad and jaahil and violent these Mozlems are! come join us in our war against terror”. And unfortunately, the predominantly uneducated protestors will play into the hands of the trap.

The argument also emanates from the US-backed pro-mujahideen war against the Soviets in Afghanistan.

Re: Conspiracy Theories

hahaha

Re: Conspiracy Theories

Not beyond their capacity is it ?

Re: Conspiracy Theories

You'd be surprised how many people believe it. And it's not improbable either. I've been following the unfolding of events very closely.

Did you also know that the Danish contingent took 3 extra cartoons with them to Egypt, which were not part of the original lot?

Re: Conspiracy Theories

^
Guardian Unlimited had a story how the Lebanese Rioting with "well-planned spontaneity" as well.

Re: Conspiracy Theories

^ For sure, and one can also question why the protestors in Palestine were Fatah militants and not part of Hamas - makes one wonder isn't it. And their protests took place about 2-3 days after Hamas' victory.

Re: Conspiracy Theories

Not too long ago at a desi party people were lambi lambi choring how Osama is in ISI custody and they don’t want to give him up, otherwise they will lose all the money flowing in to capture him. In a very serious tone I told everyone that I have heard that actually RAW has him and they don’t want to give him up because then they won’t be able to tell the world that he is in Pakistan & give Pakistan the bad name as a state the harbor terrorists. I had them all convinced. And you know it’s quiet probable.

Oh and in the same party one of the uncles said that all the ‘insurgents’ in Iraq or CIA payroll. How? Well, US don’t want stability in the country so they can suck up all the oil and certainly don’t want Shia groups in charge.

Yes, VERY probable!

You know, I also believe that Gupshup is on CIA payroll. Hummmmmm I mean how do you think they can run such a elaborate discussion group with out any banner commercials and with such dedication. That’s why most of the moderators are living outside of Pakistan. Think about it!!!!!

Re: Conspiracy Theories

Similar means have been employed before. The overthrowing of democracy in Iran was done by disinformation and using rival groups to cause caos as well.

Re: Conspiracy Theories

ahmedjee, I don't see you as part of a Muslim organisation taking part in organised riots and protests and burning down embassies. So tell me what sets you apart from these Muslims, and why are they burning flags and you not?

Re: Conspiracy Theories

employment?

Re: Conspiracy Theories

UTD, think outside the box.

Re: Conspiracy Theories

Just last night I launched another theory.....on Iran. And to show you just how easy it is to cause such speculation and then turn such theories into well-backed rumours I'll tell you what I said.

"I think Iran's president is backed by CIA. His extremist views are planned and executed with the complete support of the Americans because they want a reason to go in and occupy. Think about it....all the major corporations have already pulled out....prior to the statements made by him. How did Halliburton etc., know what was coming? Think about it....."

Re: Conspiracy Theories

or the cartoon controversy has been escalated to buy the Iranians some time and expel all the European IAEA inspectors from their country (travel ban).

Re: Conspiracy Theories

there you go......

Re: Conspiracy Theories

Or it could be masterminded by the right wingers in EU to show how the Muslim Turkey is not ready to be part of the EU, they can’t even take a joke.

Oh and I don't burn flags because I am more like a tire burning person. But as I left my green bandana in Pakistan, it’s no fun doing it anymore.

Re: Conspiracy Theories

but the thing is, I really do believe it’s a possibility :hehe: not very academic-like thinking is it. shucks, no harm in contemplating though!

AJ, we all know that Turkey is not gonna be a part of the EU - not this century anyway.

Re: Conspiracy Theories

ahmadjee, you consider yourself an environmentalist. Tsk.

Re: Conspiracy Theories

Mehnaz, I don’t burn green, only black. Beside, did you know you get a buzz from tire burning? :smokin:

Re: Conspiracy Theories

The Moon landings were fake. :p

Re: Conspiracy Theories

Everything is a possibility...you can make fun of all the people who come up with alleged "conspiracy theories"....but a good read on history of CIA and NSA will open your eyes as to what they are capable of and what kind of stunts they have pulled in the past. I am not saying that they are involved in this, however, its not out of realm of possibilities.
