Cons of not registering a foreign marriage in the UK

Most desi’s dont register their marriage in the UK. I have heard it many times that this could disadvantage them, but , not known how ? can someone tell me please?

Particularly if a divorce takes place , does it become difficult for the wife to get a share in the husband’s property?

This is the main reason..

(Some men also don’t want to register their marriages because there is or might be more than one wife involved.. but that’s a tiny minority)

They don’t. That’s the whole point. Wife gets nothing.
