Well I thought U were talking about religious riots like the recent ones between tribals and illegal immigrant muslims from Bangladesh since this thread pertains to hindu muslim differences in relation Cong and ML. Why bring the overall combined crime-political-religious stats here into consideration. Rather off-topic IMO.
Anyways back to the topic. What was ML’s policy proposal for betterment of minorities in the muslim majority provinces of British India which eventually separated? How were the religious sensitivities of the minority hindu community to be protected since they were a sizable minority in many districts where they formed almost upto 40-45% of the population. What were the hindu and congress reactions to these proposals ?

here are few:

All the people should be aware of their rights all the people have the freedom of religion freedom of sense.

All legislatures in the country and other elected bodies shall be constituted on the definite principle of adequate and effective representation of minorities in every province without reducing the majority in any province to a minority or even equality.

Full religious liberty, i.e. liberty of belief, worship and observance, propaganda, association and education, shall be guaranteed to all communities.

These demands were rejected by the Congress Party.
