Latter this year, space station GAIA will be launched by the European Space Agency. GAIA will find out details on location of one out of every 100 stars in our galaxy. By looking at the same star from different points in the earths orbit it canmap out location of the stars it seems. And also provide info on our next door neighbor Andromeda.
