Confusion - election on 8th or not?

So if i correctly understood, PPP wants to take part on 8th jan elections. Clearly to cash on the huge wave of sympathy.

But there were reports the ECP has said that elections will be postponed.

What is going on?

viceroy benazir is being replaced by her husband to call the shots.

teh thign is that I can almos bet that if elections are held in this atmosphere there will be trouble, but if they are postponed there would be other mess.

so essentially what you should be ready for is to see pak govt pressed for a Jan 8the election and then blamed for not safeguarding polling stations.
