I am so confused. As most of you know hubby and I were very ill this past weekend. Both had a very bad case of food poisoning. We are still recovering from that. We are doing better, Alhumdolillah. This saturday we were invited to a housewarming dinner. I have been planning to attend this dinner. All our friends who will be there know that we were very sick. So, I am now thinking if we go ppl will think we came for the food and don’t take our health seriously. Although, I have been wanting to get together will all these families for a long time and don’t want to miss this opportunity. Do you think it will be odd if we attended???WE could care less about the food since the thought of food makes us SICK.
I said to hubby we will go and stay for an hour. Congratulate the couple on their home and meet everyone and come back. What do you think. Plus, i have new clothes, jewelry, and a new haircut to showoff:p. So, what do you think??

ufff..... why the confusion?? It sounds very simple to me.. if those people are such nice families and good friends that you have been wanting to get together with then why even think twice??? They should know that you are not their for the food .... just to show off your jewelry & clothes :p..... also i would advise you eating normal at their house. If you dont ppl will probably say "ahem... buhat nakhre hain larki ke... kaise naak chara rahi thii" :P

Mahru - Bas aunty Allah ka shukar hai, koi ziada complications nahi hoi… Actually I was longing for a new hair style for a while, tu main ****** ke sath saloon gai thi, Aap ko kiasa laga mera naya hair cut ( discuss your hairs for 15~20 minutes)
Family Friend ( your age) - Hai Mahru, Ye set (jewlery) kab banwaya ? pehley tu nahi dekha ?
Mahru - Haan yaar actually, mujhey ye design bohat pasand aya tha last year Liberty main dekha tha, yahaan bohat dhonda par waisa design nahi mila ( discuss the design details, how good it looks on you for ummm.. say 30 min)
Come back home Satisfied and sleep peacefully

The only reason i asked this question was because I know some aunties who will be like since you guys were released from the hospital on Tuesday night why the heck are you attending dinners on saturday.
Plus, like Nia said you don't get too many of these kind of occasions in the US so i don't want to miss it.
