Confused making methi dana+olive oil+mustard oil remedy

I’m thinking to give it a try cus i lost around 90% of my hair and nothing has helped me yet to regrow them…I’m confused about the bottle to store the oil, do i need a glass bottle or plastic one? and i have a feeling i read somewhere it has to be a dark coloured bottle and it has to be kept in the sun. Or is it other way to make it? please help!

Re: Confused making methi dana+olive oil+mustard oil remedy

Have you seen a doctor?

Young women shouldn't lose "90% of their hair." Although I suspect that this is a self limited, reversible form of hair loss (have you been sick, given birth, undergone surgery, gone on a diet, or been under signficiant stress recently?), at the very least, you need to have your thyroid hormone and iron levels checked.

Re: Confused making methi dana+olive oil+mustard oil remedy

This is how I used it.

Take any bottle (I used a water bottle) and I filled it half-way with the methi seeds. Don't ground the methi seeds. Then u pour the olive oil and mustard oil on top of the seeds. It doesn't matter which you pour in first....but the oils must be of equal quanity. So, if you use 1/2 cup olive oil, then you would use the same amount of mustard oil. The end result will look like oil floating or resting on top of seeds. You're not supposed to shake the bottle.

You can leave the bottle alone for a few days to let the oil steep. Some people leave it out in the sun for a day....but I've heard that oils can be destroyed by sunlight. You're only going to apply the oil to your scalp....not the seeds. Methi seeds have a warming effect....and that effect is absorbed by the oil. The oil is quite strong...so don't keep it on for too long...about an hour tops. I applied it every other day...but you apply as often as it suits you. Be regular....give it time...like about 2-3 months and inshaAllah you'll see an improvement. Methi can also be eaten. And alongside the oil....make sure that the basics are in place....that you're eating a healthy diet, taking a multivitamin, reduce stress, get sufficient sleep, etc. Also, it's good to see a doctor and have other possible causes for hairloss such as thyroid and hormonal irregularies ruled out.

redvelvet thanks for that information..just one question...if we use up the oil from the bottle..do we need to throw the old methi seeds out and use a new batch of methi seeds to use?or can the old ones be re used?

Re: Confused making methi dana+olive oil+mustard oil remedy

No, just keep the same seeds and refill with oil. That's what I did.

Has anyone here tried taking bee pollen for their hair? You can get it from your local GNC. It's considered to be one the most nutritionally complete foods and has practically all the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that humans need...and in a form that is readily usable by our bodies. It's collected from flowers by bees ..a bit of honey is attached to it..and it's fed to the lil bees. I take a teaspoon of bee pollen and mix it into my green tea along with a teaspoon of honey. I think it's easier to take that way...and I drink it at room temperature. So I take the bee pollen, hair vitamins, iron supplement, green smoothie....and I see an overall improvement in my hair and skin. It's hard to say which one thing made the most difference though.

Re: Confused making methi dana+olive oil+mustard oil remedy

OMG sounds good! im going to take it along with biotin and MSM! Is it okay? or should i add Omega in it too? and where can i get bee pollen in the uk?

Re: Confused making methi dana+olive oil+mustard oil remedy

Yeah, it should be fine. I take Purvana supplements and they contain biotin and MSM in the morning. I've been okay, but you have to do what suits your body. Bee pollen contains Omeg acids as well.

Read about the bee pollen at first. It's best to get them in granule form..sorta like daal. It has a grassy/nutty and sweet taste and some people can eat it straight from the jar. I think it's an aquired taste and I mix a teaspoon of it into my green tea. I make sure that the tea is a room temperature before I mix the honey and bee pollen into it...because a really warm temperature can destroy the nutrients in the honey and pollen.

Some people might be allergic to bee pollen....so start off with LESS than a teaspoon first...just a few granules...and then build your way up to a teaspoon. If you can handle the taste...try to be regular with including it in your diet...and maybe after some time you might be able to determine if it had any effect at all on your hair/skin. It's also good for boosting energy levels and elminating spring allergies.
