If you know for sure there is someone doing Jadu on your or family, can you confront them and talk to them, or is that pretty much bound to backfire so that you’re encouraged to avoid confronting them Islamically?

How do you know it is jadu? Most of things you hear about jadu are nothing but backyard stories.

You will be spreading more fitna. It is better to pray to God, read Quran, duas for protection which will be effective more than any other thing. You & your family stays protected & unharmed is more important than confronting the sinners. And yes, ofcourse it backfires (the magic) by the will of God.
