cone mehndi

I wanna apply cone mehndi on my hands for my wedding. so wt company is best? or from wr do i buy?

Re: cone mehndi

Opinion from london :
I have started applying mehndi recently, and I found most mehndis you find in shops brands like ‘mehak’ work fine and come out dark if they are fresh cones. I apply and leave on for around 3 hours- for bridal I suggest you leave it longer- and make sure im in a warm room when I apply it keeping my body temp warm, otherwise the colour wont come out well. I usually stay in a room that’s becomes very warm even uncomfortably so, in order for the colour to come out right.

The mehndi comes out the darkest not the day after application but on the second day. So make sure to leave it two days before the big day for ur mehndi to be done. I even had part of my wedding mehndi done by the brand ‘Mehak’ when the mehndi girl’s own cone from india ran out, it was practically the same only slightly thicker application, which I think is better simply because it comes out darker that way

Hope that helps

^ Nice work. :)

Don't use emergency mehndi!

Re: cone mehndi

Thanks I started doing mehndi a month ago! :D

Don;t use black henna either- too risky

Re: cone mehndi

I was about to suggest emergency mehndi cone! We don't have it that readily in the UK, but I heard in Pakistan it's really popular. And I've seen the colour on brides before, it's SOOOO dark after only a few hours' application, like a deeeep maroon-red colour, beautiful!

So why are you saying don't use it!

Cause emergency cones arent long lasting they fade after 2 3 days..plus iv heard they use weird chemicals in them which might not suit some ppl

Re: cone mehndi

Re: cone mehndi

Some people have skin reactions to such mehndi

Re: cone mehndi

Cause it can cause really bad skin irritation. Your skin feels like its burning.

Re: cone mehndi

Can anyone advise me if mehndi cones stay ok in the fridge.? And for how long? Im planning on getting loads to give out in my mehndi when i go on my trip to pak but worried about shelf life as my wedding wont be for another 3 months wen im back from pak i.A

Re: cone mehndi

If you're bringing back cones (not the dry powder) then refrigeration works the best. You can even freeze the cones for a couple months.

But remember, the quality of mehndi that is in the cone will make the ultimate difference. Poor quality mehndi will not be saved by refrigeration.

You should look into contacting henna artists in the UK and buy direct from them.
