Whenever one posts anything in this Forum, there are some predictable responses that tend to turn up. It doesn’t matter with what niyyat you post something in this Forum, some are unable to wait to pounce on your thread, dissecting it into a million microscopic pieces. If it’s not the source that they will rudely question, it’s the questioning of the question itself that they will do. There was one particular stanza from Hali’s Musaddas that i wish i could quote here (but unfortunately left the book at home and i don’t remember it), in which he is referring to what occurs when a person goes to ask an Imam for help regarding an issue:
i think that’s how it goes, i am copying it from somewhere else so maybe a few words here are there are inaccurate.
Perhaps, never were truer words spoken by a man in recent times than Hali’s words above. This is the haalat of this Forum! Kuch poocho, people question your niyyat and instead, leave you feeling like crap because how ‘dare’ someone post something that actually went out of the ordinary. i posted a thread regarding a Muslim’s recitation and the melodious nature of his voice. His recitation of Surah Fatihah almost moved me to tears so i thought i should share something - if it moves MY heart, it may move someone else’s heart and perchance bring them closer to Islam. But hey what do i get, people start posting replies that the guy is ‘aankh maaring’ (on the website) and why were drums used and why was this used and why was that used. wow i didn’t know all of you were yourselves so perfect ??? Aap logon ko guaranteed ticket mil rahi hai for jannat?
No wonder Muslims are Muslims’ own worst enemies. Yeh tau hamari haalat hai. Forget about helping each other, forget about principles, kindness, sharing, forget Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) looking out even for his worst enemies. Nah. Let’s just rip each other apart and pre-judge each others’ niyyat. Afterall, that’s what Allah Created us for, right - to be the judge/jury/executioner from one Muslim brother to another.
If i was new to this Forum and i read some of the rude responses in this Forum, my reaction would be complete and utter disgust. Thank God, some of the non Muslims who visit this Forum are mature enough to realize you should never judge a religion by its followers. Otherwise, Muslims would have the worst public image imaginable.
It took a while to get the point here, especially with the tiny font size of the quote (:)) but the last paragraph resolved the mystery, thankfully.
Yup, you are right. Some times I am aghast reading some of the posts by our own muslim brothers. Dil chahta hai, utha ke kuch phenk dooN (un ke ooper). Kher. C'est la vie.
haha sorry, Faisal Bhai Maybe i shouldn’t have put that in

Yeah, basically the last para summed it all up. You will have to get ready because i anticipate a lot of phadda wadda/gaaliyaan in this thread coming up. Sorry for the extra work i am about to cause you.

I suspect they were just trying to increase their post count.
:D Not a bad idea, waisay! i want to get upto 10,000 posts quickly. Maybe i should start a sectarian thread. That should easily push me up 500 posts in no time.
aha. But i know the time zones at which you and your co-Mod are sleeping, hence i could easily start a sectarian thread at that time; by the time either of you wakes up, it would have reached 3 pages easy
Just kidding. i am too bholi bhaali to do something so mean. :halo:
Nadz, some people just like to “show-off” and others just like to disagree without even really knowing why they do.. but as long as they have good back up.. they’re safe :k:
its wrong to forget the person's good deeds and try to find faults with what he is doing by all possible means....
and its also wrong to think that if someone is not perfect himself he has no right to tell others of the wrong they do....
if i do something wrong, perhaps it doesnt matter cuz i am simply a nobody, but if a popular figure does something wrong, people get to criticize not only him but also his religion and beliefs....
and some others even think that if he is doing it, it must be right somehow so they end up copying....
so no harm if u do point out that hey its a small thing but its wrong so just try to improve....
i started off with the tableeghi jammat once (before spending some time with them and totally rejecting their ways of doing things) and there we were instructed to always be careful in everything we do....
to have the right dress, to pray properly, to keep the shoes straight, etc etc so that no one can find us doing something wrong even if it is the smallest of the things....
cuz people r watching us, and lets not give them an issue to point fingers....
^
is always referred to mir taqi mir, but having read mir's work and not finding it, a further investigation led me to realize that the author of such a great verse(s) is anonymous....
whoahh....this one sent chills down my spine atleast..
Anyways, your other thread- well, all I saw there was just sectarian picking of matters unrelated to the cause mentioned by you. And ofcourse if this thread is for the people who are not willing to learn but just show-off their knowledge, this won't do any good as well but all we can do is improve ourselves rather than commenting on others' individual responses. Thanks for this thread as this was much needed in order to purify the contaminous thoughts about stuff irrelavent to the message being conveyed.
