Concept of bad dua in islam

I was wondering what does islam say about wishing ill on someone.. or cursing someone.. kissi ko bad-dua dena..
I know there is no limit to our duas.. and we make duas for others as well.. but what if we make a negative one? i understand that it seems obvious that it is wrong to do so but usually there is a reason a person would do such.. agar uss ki haq talfi ho rahi hai to either that person will forgive the other or not forgive … and if that person chooses not to forgive the other clearly the person is asking for justice from God ..insaaf… so in that case it makes sense to just ask for justice from God and leave it up to God how he’ll bring the justice upon and how he’ll punish the person… so would it be wrong for the person to pray for lets say the same pain that person as caused the victim? or would it be wrong to curse the person in any way?.. and even if it is right or wrong.. will that bad-dua be heard by Allah?

The concept of bud-duaz in islam is same as dua. like they say you should always give other people good duas.

people who give bud-dua has two reasons behind it (according to my knowledge)

1) the other person has hurt them
2) they are jealous of that person so saying bud-duas makes them feel better.

if this person (A) has really hurted another person (B) and still that person (B) gives him/her duas than its really good of that person (B)

kehte hain ke ghareeb ki bud-dua se bachna chahiye.

bud dua dene se bachne ki koshish karni chahiye.

saying and wishing bad things about anyone is NOT encouraged at all...forgiving is always better for all of us because Allah has better rewards for the victim. its said that one should NOT do bad things to others to deserve "aah" of the victim. aah goes a long way...u don't have to use words to express ur pain...Allah knows it all and that pain in itself will act as bad-du'aa.

no i dont think ke bud-dua lagti hai unless u have been rude to them…mere khayal se agar mangne wala/wali waqai zaroorat mand lag rahain hon tou de dena chahiye otherwise badtameezi se dhutkarna nahi chahiye.

**ek soora meN aayaa hai k "travelers, masakeen aur Ghorabaa" ko na jhiRkoo [do NOT talk to them disrespectully]...just politely decline their request for help if u r unable to help. isii liye "baba mu'aaf karo" became popular. having said that, now we know that there are "professional beggers" and its hard to distinguish between them so its still safer to politely say no rather than give them a lecture. it wud be best if u could provide him with skill so they can earn their own wages. for this purpose u can even use zakaat money to provide education/skill to someone.

The life of our Prophet Muhammad is the best and complete example to follow and how to re-act in various matters/situations faced by us in our daily life routine. Our Prophet Muhammad PBUH when returned from City of Ta’aif where He PBUH was stoned by non-believers, even that time He PBUH didn’t cursed them and prayed to Almighty Allah SWT! that I hope theirs generations will be from the followers of Islam.

The best among us that person who have the ability to take revenge but rather than taking revenge he/she forgive. Best in such situation we shall make supplication to Almighty Allah SWT! that HE forgive our sins and put that person on right path. I quote some hadith and hope your doubt will be cleared.

Pay visit to the ill/sick person:

Book ‘Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)’ of Sahih Bukhar Haidth No 282
**Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, “Free the captives, feed the hungry and pay a visit to the sick.” **

**Hadith - Qudsi 18 **

O son of Adam, I fell ill and you visited Me not. He will say: O Lord, and how should I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so had fallen ill and you visited him not? Did you not know that had you visited him you would have found Me with him? O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you fed Me not. He will say: O Lord, and how should I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: Did you not know that My servant So-and-so asked you for food and you fed him not? Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me? O son of Adam, I asked you to give Me to drink and you gave Me not to drink. He will say: O Lord, how should I give You to drink whin You are the Lord of the worlds? He will say: My servant So-and-so asked you to give him to drink and you gave him not to drink. Had you given him to drink you would have surely found that with Me.

**Narrated 'Aisha : Whenever Allah’s Apostle became sick, he would recite Mu’awwidhat (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas) and then blow his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two Suras) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings. **

**Allah’s Messenger said, “When you go in to visit an invalid, express a hope that he will live long. That will not avert anything, but it will comfort him.” **

Narrated An-Nu’man bin Bashir, Allah’s Apostle said, “You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it.”

**Narrated Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak: (who was one of the companions who gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet underneath the tree (Al-Hudaibiya)) Allah’s Apostle said, “Whoever swears by a religion other than Islam (i.e. if somebody swears by saying that he is a non-Muslim e.g., a Jew or a Christian, etc.) in case he is telling a lie, he is really so if his oath is false, and a person is not bound to fulfill a vow about a thing which he does not possess. And if somebody commits suicide with anything in this world, he will be tortured with that very thing on the Day of Resurrection; And if somebody curses a believer, then his sin will be as if he murdered him; And whoever accuses a believer of Kufr (disbelief), then it is as if he killed him.” **

Allah’s Messenger said a Muslim is never allowed to stay angry with his Muslim brother over three day’s , because he who does that, then dies will go to hell ( FIRE ).

JAZAKUMALLAH KHAIR,, I THINK WE SHOULD NOT DO BAD DUAA,, BECAUSE IF WE SEE OUR PROHAT MUHAMMAD PEACE BE UPON HIM, HE ALWAYS FOCUSED ON TO BRING THE PEOPLE ON RIGHT EVEN THE KUFFAR KEEP HURTING HIM, HE NEVER DONE BAD DUAA FOR THEM,,
