hi guys…
i am looking to buy a concealer..i never really wear it but am now gonna give it a try.
since i dont really have any experience of buying it i was wondering of anyone can tell me which brand of concealer works best for them. i always find it hard to find a foundation that matches my skin tone well and i doubt its gonna be any easier with concealer…
so i would appreciate any advice or comments

hi pink_diamond i use the concealer from Kanebo and its good...i have heard that YSL's concealer is good

i think the company has much to do with it, although sometimes you can spot cheaply made things, but go somewhere that has testers, and professionals that will teach you how to put it oo, in canada the bay, mac, shoppers drug mart, the body shop all have people who can teach you how to put concealor on properly and also help you find the right shade

yaa i have to agree with hejsa,,,YSL's concealer is really good
it suits almost everyone..it's like a golden pen
and appliying,, dont be to rough one the eye...pad it on gently

i have to disagree. the ysl gold pen is more of a highlighter and reflects light. as a concelaer, especially for those with dark circle it doesn't do a very good job,well for me anyway.
i use bobbi brown concealer,the one in a small compact with the loose poeder attached to it. Another really good one is the laura mercier concealer. they both do the job really well.
if ur on a budget, the revlon colourstay one is actually not bad either.

i hv used concealer n i thnk it does nt work or i dont know how to deal with it although i hv made lot of effots in sense of correct color choice n company...

have u tried the brand "becca" ? its sold at sephora here in the US. they have every skin shade imaginable and mostly for skin with yellow-undertones.
lancome's photogenic concealor is supposed to be quite good as well but the downside is they dont have much of a variety in the color palette.

no i havn’ tried “becca” i have heard good stuff about it too…i dont know where to get it here..there is no sephora locally do u know the shade that u use? i might hunt it down! thanks for that…

Hi hun,
depends on how ur under eye skin type and what foundation you use. I find i have dark/purplish and dry skin underneath my eyes...I've used lancome and it made my skin dry and greyish
now i use M.A.C. concealer --a yellow base conealer--and it worrksss...i dont get lines or dryness or any flakes...
Also a good tip before applying concealer is putting vaseline under the eye so u dont get the lines or dryness.
(as i ramble on lol)...find out if you should get a yellow base or pink base...most brown ppl will use yellow base--but again it depends
Also the way apply it makes a difference---make sure your dabbing it on and not smearing it --u'll get lines and wrinkles and it won't cover up anything properly.
If you go to a M.A.C. store they're usually helpful in finding out what concealer is best

hey thanks for all the advice ! jus one question tho..i have noticed funny little pore type things jus near/on my eye bags..theyre sort of like dots and are lighter than the eye bags themselves..they show up even more wid concealer on....is this normal? i think my concealer (since it is oldish and i have not bought a new one yet) is making it more apparent..but even without it i can see them:( what shall i do?

I got those too..
i started using vaseline and this oil based eye creme before i applied concealer under my eyes...before you go to bed, rub vaseline, or a under eye creme to avoid dryness
or its time tog et a new concealer
