I reviewed the Bobbi Brown corrector a little while ago. It’s what I’m using at the moment. I love it. It’s quite creamy but is fine when set with powder. My skin is oily so I think it will be fine for dryer skin. Although you should be moisturising well before concealer anyway!
I an NC30 in MAC (NW25 in mac concealer) and got light peach in BBCorrector.
It doesn’t look cakey on me, nor crease, but then I apply with a light hand and use a small synthetic concealer brush and set with powder.
I have used both that you have. Hated moisturecover. Studio finish is quite thick and it does crease.
Which powder do you use to set it with, stoppit? I’m a novice in this department and was told that Benefit’s powderflage works. I tested it and did like the finish it gave me but I can’t justify spending $35 on such a small jar :S
make sure your skin is moisturized well before going so you can try different things and wear no makeup
one thing i will say is if you're covering blemishes...you will use a different concealer than one for under eyes so be mindful of that
your concealer for blemishes or acne spots or scars should be a darker than your actual skin color simply because a lighter concealer will give that dry and ashy look you're talking about
right now i am trying out bobbi brown's touch up sticks for concealing a pimple i got on my chin...its darker than my skin color but it works so well. bobbi brown has a very wide array of colors that will help you find a good match for your skin...sort of like mac but better. you dot the area you want to conceal with the stick and then feather out the edges. i have a birth mark on my left cheek that it covers up so so so well. its not dry or cakey either.

I use pressed powder to finish all my makeup. I wear very little foundation and then only on my cheeks, upper lip and chin. Then I dust pressed powder over my whole face to set and even-out.
I use MAC select-sheer pressed powder in 2 shades lighter than my foundation as it oxidises a bit. This was recommended to me by a professional for my wedding (as I did my own makeup). That was a couple of years ago, I've tried other powders since but for me, this gives the best finish; not dry and really smooth.
Wow, I had no idea two diff kindsa concealers were needed! I use it mainly for my under eye area and then on teh corners of my mouth because they're dark...
I have used amazing cosmetic concealer and they cover my circles better than others i have tried. Ive heard great things about bobbi brown so if you try it.. Review it here.

I didn't either until I started noticing no matter what I did...my birthmark showed even after full coverage foundations. If its light, it won't work no matter what. For under the eye...you need to go slightly lighter in order to conceal and brighten.
so I'll go for the bobbi brown for the under eyes..but I dont want to spend too much, can u guys recommend a drugstore brand for the rest of the face (mainly around the lip area and some redness around the nose)?
Did you try setting it with powder using a puff? Also, try using your finger to pat it on and thin layers at a time so it doesn't cake up. I find that when I use a brush for concealer like MAC Studio Finish, it can easily get cakey.
Oh and for drugstore, check the Maybelline Age Rewind or the Hard Candy Camouflage one.
This stuff compares to my little tube of Amazing Cosmetics Concealer…but its only $6 for a decent sized tube while my tinyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy little one was $28
