My query concerns availability of books on web development/design & multimedia published by renowned international authors.If somebody might provide me with infos. on such book stores/resources, especially in Lahore,Rawalindi & Islamabad , It,d be a great courtesy,since I,ve been unable to find my most needed books on topics such as PHP/MySQL,actionscripting & Javascript/DHTML etc.Everybody knows that original versions,re too costly so if some alternative is there then plz. share it too!!!
The first source of any kind of book in Lahore is "Urdu Bazar" you can get books from the stalls or try some shops. On The Mall check "Mavra Book Store". You can find books in Feroze Sons but they are usually expensive.
I remember a shop in Liberty Market "Variety books" dont know if it is still there or not check that one too.
Dont buy any book if the shop keeper is converting the US/UK price & telling it to you. You might be able to get the same book from a different place for 10 times lower price.
Thanks U all for sharing nice infos.Infact finding such books is no prob. for those living in major cities.It becomes cumbersome for those who,re away from major markets & in their seldom visits to these markets they can,t search each & every nook & corner.So do share more my friends, so that remote book enthusiasts might find what they want conveniently.Thanks.....
