“There is no compulsion in religion”.
Can a Muslim give up Islam in an Islamic State and accept other religion?
Are non-Muslim citizens free to preach their respective religions in an Islamic State?

Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam

Reilgion != Deen
Now come again!
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
Excuse me?
There is no compulsion in religion, unless Iam mistaken with what u r saying or u r reinterpertating Quranic text?
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
there is no compulsion in Islam to FORCE a non-muslim to accept Islam....
once a person has accepted Islam, than a mulsim is bounded by many laws and there is very much a compulsion on him to follow these rules and authorities have the right to warn/punish him according to shariah whereever he diverts from it....
the verse is misunderstood by many muslims who think that muslims can do anything and other muslims have no right to tell them that they r doing something against Islam....
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
And u r an authority on the subject? Typical Wahabi teachings thats all I have to say for u.
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
^ typical unIslamic brainwashed by kaafir teachings is all I have to say for u....
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
^^
This sort of statement coming from a moderator does not look very good.
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
Literalistic, narrow minded, tunnel vision=Wahabism
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
a moderator does not have right to respond or express his views?
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
what do you think of verse which goes like “amr bil-ma’roof wa nahi an-il-munkar”?
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
So basically 'authorities' have the right to impose their interpretation of Islam on other Muslims? When punishment and enforcement are left up to individuals, courts or 'authorities', you are taking religion out of God's hands. Since shariah laws are not enforced with *any *consistency around the world, it appears as if that is the failed or misinterpreted view. If that was the way God intended the 'pefect' religion to be administered, surely after 1400 years there would be *one *example of it being implemented successfully somewhere in the world.
So while some may accuse others of following "unIslamic brainwashed kaafir teachings", they themselves may be following misinterpreted unIslamic teachings that require man to monitor others when they don't what they are following themselves. For surely if they did the perfect system would already be in place for the perfect religion.
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
There is no compulsion in Islam. There are people who call themselves Muslims who are not Muslims and they are answerable to God for what they do. We are all answerable. We all have choice and we all freedom to choose for ourselves. If we are seeking the truth and we honestly pray for God to lead us then that is between that person and God. No authority can force somebody to remain in Islam.
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
I have to repeat my queries.......
“There is no compulsion in religion”.
Can a Muslim give up Islam in an Islamic State and accept other religion?
Are non-Muslim citizens free to preach their respective religions in an Islamic State?
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
^ yes he can, but if he is creating fitnah, spreading misunderstandings about Islam and leaking muslims' military secrets or other such information to the enemies, then it is a must to kill him as he is seen as an "enemy of the state"....
yes, non-muslims r free to preach their religion in Islamic state....
and no, saudi arabia is not strictly an Islami state....
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
armughal
Are you sure that you have not confused 'preaching a religion' with 'practising a religion'?
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
^^
Isnt the issue of fitnah debateable...
Look how blasphemy laws are being used in Pakistan..
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
excuse me but i fail to understand why non muslim wants to live in an islamic state? I mean aren’t there enough non islamic states for them on this planet?
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
what if pipe dreams of caliphate come true and there is one Islamic state that is very economically powerful…perhaps there will be a reverse of what is seen today. instead of Muslims all begging to emigrate to the West, perhaps the kafirs will want to look for opportunities in the successful Islamic state and move there.
is it feasible for them to do so?
Re: Compulsion in religion under Islam
what you describe is nothing more than an utopia and westerners like me who wish to emigrate in muslim countries are and will be a very slim minority for a long long while:D
