complaint against Mamakidua

I have a complaint against a mod that deleted my comment without providing me with an explanation via a PM or even in the thread.

She then wrote an addional comment calling me rude.

Then she had the nerve to write me an infration (which I have no idea what that is…did I just go back to elementary school?)

so my questions are:

  1. what is the criteria to become a mod? age? time on GS? number of posts?

  2. why do mods think they have total control over threads and sections without consulting a third party?

They apparently do not do this anymore. Only we have to follow rules...its a little like 'do as I say, not as I do' syndrome.

The only time I have ever been told why my comment was deleted was by Niksik.

Oh and its amazing how quickly an 'Infraction' PM can be sent, yet a 'reason as to why your comment was deleted' PM are just too much work to be set as automatic PMs.

  1. Decent attitude and friendliness is the criteria. Age, time on GS and number of posts dont matter that much.

  2. Actually they do have the total control of their forum. They are not required to consult any third party for the decisions they make.

Infarction PMs are auto PMs, mods do not generate them manually. Reason PM are manually generated PMs. If Mods remove a thread of 50 posts, its not possible to write 50 PMs to 50 posters so it is never required for them to send "reason' pms

Wasn't it a rule to inform posters that their comments had been deleted with reasons as to why. And I did not type 50 replies in that thread for to be sent 50 PMs. One would have been enough.

Some comments seem to be deleted due to the fact that mods do not agree with posters opinions. When did that become a rule?

yup i don’t mind if someone deletes my posts (i’m usually flooding anyway so I knowz why they got deleted :halo: ) … and as far as I know, mods do send out PMs when they delete threads… like the other day I posted lady gaga’s video in “Video Gallery” and Nami deleted it and sent me a PM saying it was deleted because it wasn’t suitable for the general audience and encouraged me to post some more “nicer” vids… so that was kool…

No it was never a rule and when its not a rule, it is not required, be it one post or 50 posts.

When mods, and the way they do the moderation is attacked for no reason, then they will not like it and they will remove the post. It is not the rule, its just the way things are.

I if I had recieved a PM as to why my comments were deleted I wouldnt feel the need to say that I didn't recieve a PM.

They can send a PM out of courtesy but its not required.

and I heard you and explain the reason of why we dont have it as a rule.
