I’m here in Aus and I believe West Indies and SA are coming for the VB series. Windies won’t be a match but can someone tell me whether SA have a good enough ODI team to beat aus. Sorry but I just haven’t been in touch with SA team over the past year or so.
Re: Competitive?
It's Sri Lanka and South Africa this time diametric and i can see a competitive tri series this time regardless of Aussies current domination over World XI.
Saffies have improved a bit and they have some SOLID middle order players and hard hitters in Ashwel Prince and Justin Kemp (who is as good hitter as Pietersen).
Nel,Ntini,Langeveldt and Pollock form a good bowling attack. Gibbs, Smith, Kallis,Dippenaa, Prince are all in form and on top of that Ab devilliers( nominated for new comer of the year) is extremely talented youngster as well.
Justin Kemo is the one to look for, HUGE guy and a very hard hitter, another batsman in Afridi, Pietersen, Flintoff mould.
Re: Competitive?
Btw diametric, where in Aus are you??? Today the official summer scedule was announced in all the papers in Australia. Windies are coming for 3 TESTS, then Saffies for 3 TESTS followed by tri series involving Lanka and Saffies.
Windies played this series just LAST year remember?????? (Pak, WI, Aus)
Re: Competitive?
yeah, i thought that it was odd that windies would come two consecutive times. Oh, and thanks for that.
