Companion(RA)

YUSUFALI: If ye help not (your leader), (it is no matter): for Allah did indeed help him, when the Unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion; they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion, “Have no fear, for Allah is with us”: then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the Unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise.
PICKTHAL: If ye help him not, still Allah helped him when those who disbelieve drove him forth, the second of two; when they two were in the cave, when he said unto his comrade: Grieve not. Lo! Allah is with us. Then Allah caused His peace of reassurance to descend upon him and supported him with hosts ye cannot see, and made the word of those who disbelieved the nethermost, while Allah’s Word it was that became the uppermost. Allah is Mighty, Wise.
SHAKIR: If you will not aid him, Allah certainly aided him when those who disbelieved expelled him, he being the second of the two, when they were both in the cave, when he said to his companion: Grieve not, surely Allah is with us. So Allah sent down His tranquillity upon him and strengthened him with hosts which you did not see, and made lowest the word of those who disbelieved; and the word of Allah, that is the highest; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

Allah supports His Prophet
Allah said,
(If you help him not), if you do not support His Prophet , then it does not matter, for Allah will help, support, suffice and protect him, just as He did,

(when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of the two) During the year of the Hijrah, the idolators tried to kill, imprison or expel the Prophet , who escaped with his friend and Companion, Abu Bakr bin Abi Quhafah, to the cave of Thawr. They remained in the cave for three days so that the pagans who were sent in their pursuit, returned (to Makkah), and they proceed to Al-Madinah. While in the cave, Abu Bakr was afraid the pagans might discover them for fear that some harm might touch the Messenger . The Prophet kept reassuring him and strengthening his resolve, saying,
(O Abu Bakr! What do you think about two, with Allah as their third) Imam Ahmad recorded from Anas that Abu Bakr said to him, "I said to the Prophet when we were in the cave, `If any of them looks down at his feet, he will see us.' He said,

O Abu Bakr! What do you think about two with Allah as their third)'' This is recorded in the Two Sahihs. This is why Allah said,
(Then Allah sent down His Sakinah upon him) sent His aid and triumph to His Messenger , or they say it refers to Abu Bakr, and strengthened him with forces which you saw not), the angels,

The ayat and tafsir shows close rleationship between Holy Prophet(SAW)
and his companion Hazrat Abu Bakr(RA).And divine support of Allah(SWT).

the ayat comes first and were unanimously accepted by ALL muslims as words from the Qur'an..

anyone can then write any tafseer and we can all argue till the cows come home speculating who was where and with whom based on traditions scholars declare IN THEIR OPINION to be right and then forming a MAJORITY or CONSENSUS..

thus nothing is set in stone.. believe what you want.. the verse remains.. the interpretation is wide open..

It seems that all your scholars were wrong all along.
Even the Koran talks about Hazrat Abu Bakr(RA).
DENY ALL YOU WANT i don't care.............
But next time you curse remember this AYAT.

[Shakir 9:40] If you will not aid him, Allah certainly aided him when those who disbelieved expelled him, he being the second of the two, when they were both in the cave, when he said to his companion: Grieve not, surely Allah is with us. So Allah sent down His tranquillity upon him and strengthened him with hosts which you did not see, and made lowest the word of those who disbelieved; and the word of Allah, that is the highest; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.

As has been mentioned therein, inside the cave, the companion of the Holy Prophet, Abu Bakr, was frightened and had started crying in anguish when he heard the voices of the enemy. Then the Holy Prophet said:

"Do not fear. Allah is with us."

Compare this fear to the tranquillity of Ali described in the commentary of verse 207 of al Baqarah which was revealed to honour and glorify Ali.

It also points out the fact that wherever in the Quran those who received tranquillity (sakinah) from Allah have been mentioned Abu Bakr must be excluded because his fear has been historically recorded and referred to in this verse.

"His companion" (sahibihi) and the "second of the two" imply no merit. See verse 37 of Kahf in which out of the two "mutual companions" one was a believer and the other was a disbeliever.

So you don't even believe in Koran.Keep it up.
All the four Caliphs WERE pious. And all were virtuous
and were given Caliphate according to their virtues.
None of them was Imam or, Angel or God.
I am not sure in which Ayat Hazrat Ali(RA) was
mentioned.
As for you talking about GLORY , Kia Ali ko Allah bana raha haa.
Ali(RA) place in ISLAM is less than Holy Prophet(SAW).
FIRST ALLAH(SWT) and Than his(SWT) Messenger(SAW).

take care

Gandalf shame on you for trying to belitlle Prophet :saw: companion like that. Do not be a judge of his character, its only Allah who knows best. If you and I can be half the mulsims that those companions were …we will be very fortunate.

Some of the stuff posted and misinterpreted here is very offensive guys. Can we get along for a change?
