Men only start talking if they have enough confidence and interest in other person. I would say stop treating him as a husband and more as a friend and lover. Instead of asking him 'when will u be back', just tell him that you love him and will desperately will be waiting for him to come back. Once he is back show him that passion and love that he been missing by staying away from home.
Btw men are more emotional then women, so exploit it :)
