1.20pm Mahela spins it, Dhoni calls heads. It’s tails, Sri Lanka choose to bat. “We’ve been inconsistent with the bat, fielding there have been a few lapses but has been good overall. Dammika has a niggle, Thirimanne is out. Thisara and Herath picked.” MS Dhoni: “In the previous matches, we left it for the lower order batsmen. Yeah, we should have finished the previous game in the 48th over. When you are chasing it is very important to take it to the end. Sehwag has a back spasm and is out, Zaheer has a problem with his right calf. Sachin returns, and Irfan is back.” Two of India’s most loved players are in. And to cool the rotation talk, it is an injury that sidelines Sehwag.
Irfan Pathan is playing after so long
Dhoni’s 200th ODI.
Bowling Powerplay taken. R Ashwin into the attack.

Jadeja to Chandimal, 3 runs, slashes and the outside edge flies past the vacant slips region and it's yet another fifty for this impressive young batsman, bodes really well for Sri Lanka

Pathan to Mathews, OUT, what a waste for Sri Lanka! Mathews made room and swung at a low full toss swinging away from him, he stepped out of his crease to steal a bye but before he could turn around and make his way back Dhoni had under-armed it to the stumps
**AD Mathews run out 17 (30b 1x4 0x6) SR: 56.66 **

Sri Lanka will feel they were about 30 short here. When Jayawardene and Chandimal got going, a total of 260 looked minimum. But the third Powerplay led to their downfall and India, once they got rid of the pair, really tightened the noose. It's a continuation of the good work from the previous match against Australia at the death overs.
