committing Suicide

Re: committing Suicide

will the real property millionaires please stand up? :)

Re: committing Suicide

Per Ali, he bought row houses in Baltimore City, which needed total rehab. He did not know the area very well because they moved from Texas. He bought the houses because of prices.
He spent more than he should have on rehab and now the houses are for sale and no buyers. The area he is telling is pretty bad neighborhood. I don't know what he was thinking.
Wells i guess i should mind my own busness and should not take any one seriously.

Re: committing Suicide

My wish, we bough our house for 165k in 2003 and now we are selling it b/w 310-330K. (inshahallah). Though the market is a little bit slow but still the prices are going up.

Re: committing Suicide

yes, that is the right thing to do.

Re: committing Suicide

Hmm, may be they had a really bad realtor. Uncle told us that their house was built in 2001 and was custom finished so not too old or generic, they spent 7k in upgrades, got the whole place repainted etc and listed it on the market for 300k. After 4 months they ended up selling it for the best offer which was 280k cause they had to let go of the house due to some financial probs. They had bought it for 272k so after the realtors fees and the upgrades costs they actually ended up paying out of their pocket. This was in Sugarland near houston.

Re: committing Suicide

aahmed ji, are u not a pakistani urself?

there is too much gich pich in this situation. i hope it works out for the family.
p.s: the husband seems to be a parha likha jahil asshole. wife needs to take a stand, take the kids, divorce his sorry ass, start working. it is very hard for the husband to take away the child in US. the law is mostly on the mother’s side.

Re: committing Suicide

There's ALWAYS 3 sides to a story.....

His side.
Her side.
The truth.

Re: committing Suicide

Rowhouses in Baltimore are a whole different story. Just 3-4 months ago u could buy 4 row houses for 12 grands. Where he may have lost money in the deal Im not sure how much he invested to start with since the houses sell dirt cheap as the land is leased not owned. Plus they are in really bad neighbourhoods.

Wish them both luck.

yeh kahaani kahaan se kahaan pohonch gayii!!!!
ok so yeah i think the wife should support her hubby if she is capable of. the hubby should instead help her tackle her insecurities with working in an office instead of threatening to leave her.

Re: committing Suicide

drama,drama,drama...who needs daytime tv when we have GS!

Re: committing Suicide

House flipping. Yeah that can be a gamble. Putting money into a delapidated house to have contractors fix it up again doesn’t always produce a profit. If it’s a bad area or the work takes longer than expected it may not sell easily or quickly. If he has to keep making mortgage payments on it and sell it for a low price then he probably lost money on it.
