Bhai I said that my beef is with Musharraf for clearing Zardari’s cases… not handing him the presidency. Zardari/Benazir/Nawaz Sharif should not have even been allowed to contest elections because of the truck load of corruption allegations and cases against them.
As for votes, PPP had a sympathy vote in 2008, and they won without Zardari. Zardari was elected as president by the PPP MNAs and their allies, not the public.
At the end of the day, every party has a market…even crooks and terrorists. If allowed, even LeJ may also win a seat on the parliament…but the point is, they should not legally be allowed to contest.
