Commentary

It’s something i’ve never quite figured out so i thought i’d ask a little aid of you sports fanatics here. HOW do commentators work out who’s who on the field? I mean they are talking sooooooooooo fast, and the ball is moving even faster between the players and on top of that from wherever the commentators are sat the players are probs ants..so just HOW do they know who is who.

:flower1:

commentators have tv monitors from which they watch close ups of the match and they probably have staticians working for them and telling them via messages through the ear peace of for example how many runs or wickets etc have been scored or taken by whom, who has played how many game etc, who is making their debut all of these things are pressent on computer databases of the back stage ppl

Maybe they’re former train-spotters and have had plenty of practice at scrutinizing numbers at long distance :konfused:
