Back in those days - a Ruppee was a healthy amount to carry
for us kids at least :cb:

We could get lots of candies, bubbles and ala bala for one ruppee

Uncle g, you’re talking about getting anything from 1 Rupee, now days even the beggar don’t “beg” for 5 or less:D . I remember, about 6 or so years ago this lady came to our door and asked for money so i went inside and got 2 Rupee and gave it to her, upon which she said “ENO V APNY MATHTHEY TEY SAja LAY” :naraz:
