Comment Cards at Restaurants

So last night I went to this popular restaurant in town for dinner, and I didn’t really enjoy eating there. Not only did the food taste weird (wasn’t cooked properly, cheese wasn’t melted completely), but they got my drink wrong, and also when I was done eating and wanted the bill I waved like mad and no one came to clear the table and give me the bill.

So, I decided to fill out their feedback card and I circled POOR for their service, and AVERAGE for the quality of food. When I handed it over to one of the waiters, he got all worked up and asked me why I gave them really low ratings. After I explained and justified what I had written, he still nagged me and told me that I was only going to get them (the waiters) in trouble. I replied, “Do you want me to lie? Because I’m not gonna lie. If your service had been better then I would’ve given you a better rating, but in all honesty, it really sucked today, none of the waiters were being attentive, you were all standing there talking and laughing, giving us your backs, and I think it needs to be improved so this is why I filled out the card”.

The guy probably hates my guts, but too bad for him. They brought it on themselves.:hoonh:

**Anyway, my question is, do you fill out those cards at restaurants? How honest are you when you do fill them out?:halo: **

Re: Comment Cards at Restaurants

I'll be honest, the only time I have ever bother to fill them out is when the service was exceptionally good, and I wanted to appreciate them. When the service sucks, normally I don't say too much, I try complaining politely because I am afraid they might spit in my food or what not.
