Hi,
I’m an Irish guy who is moving to Islamabad in a few weeks. I’ve joined the community here to find out a little more about Pakistan.

I’ll be posting up some questions over the coming weeks and I’d appreciate your advice and input.

Actually, I'm coming to work. I'll be living in Islamabad for a year. I'm excited about it.
I'd like to find out if there's a martial arts club in Islamabad, I'm into kickboxing and I want to keep it up while I'm there.

thats nice.. its cool to live in islamabad. a well gathering of forigners is there.....

and about martial arts there are societies and clubs and schools...in islamabad...and in Rawalpindi (adjacent to isalambad) there are few local societies and school for martial arts. u can join any of them as u feel comfortable with...

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies. I've never been to India or Pakistan before. I've been living in Laos for the past year and I lived in Thailand for 3 years before that.
Looking forward to checking out the martial arts clubs.

What kind of work will you be doing? If you dont have a contact in Islamabad, you may have a tough time getting around, due to language barrier etc.
